Her idea in 2011 was simply to institute a girls-only night out where they would let their hair down and walk away with tit-bits of relevant advice and gifts. That happened on three occasions but at the fourth turn, popular Afro-Pop singer, Becca, has decided to expand her ‘one night stand’ Girl Talk show into a three-day affair dubbed “The Becca Girl Talk Women’s Fair and Concert”. It will happen from December 18 to December 20 at the National Theatre.
According to Becca, there will now be a three-day fair of activities of special interest to women to be climaxed with her concert on December 20. Stalls offering a variety of products and services would be mounted at the National Theatre and there would be discounts of up to 70 per cent. Apart from the general fair, a special activity has been scheduled for each day.
For December 18, there would be counseling sessions where experts would be on hand to interact with women on issues relating to health, relationships, business and other topics. A hair show has been planned for December 19 for experts in everything about women’s hair and grooming to take fair-goers through appropriate sessions. “It occurred to me that only a day for our women to indulge at something they really cherish was not enough. That was why in consultation with my management, we came with the three-day programme to allow women the chance to be on their own to have fun and deal strictly with matters they feel strongly about,” said Becca.
“After all, Christmas is approaching and many women would be happy with a one-stop venue where they can access items and services at reasonable rates. That’s what we are offering at the Girl Talk Fair.” The Girl Talk concert itself will happen on December 20 to climax everything. It is expected to pull in several top-notch performers. Becca is confident this would be the best concert since the series started in 2011.
The Becca Girl Talk Women’s Fair and Concert is organised by EKB Records and presented by Savanna Premier Cider. The fair kicks off at 10.00am on each day.
