ghanalady1a2We were born with natural, kinky thick hair.  But sadly there are many stigmas about natural black hair. We tend to think that afro hair is difficult to manage and more crucially, that it is not a thing of beauty that should be embraced and hidden; a curse rather than what it actually is: a blessing. Many black women struggle with a fundamental lack of pride in their physical appearance. So isn’t the most powerful thing that we can do now, at this point in our history, is love ourselves and love our hair.
