A chiropractor, Dr. Naa Asheley Dordor has cautioned women against wearing high heels for long hours.
According to her, wearing long heels can affect a woman’s spine because she ends up walking on her toes instead of her feet.
“I know women like wearing heels, but it can affect them in the near future maybe when they turn 50 to 60 years,” she said on Adom FM’s Midday News Friday.
While some feel good about the attention it calls for, others also wear them to add up their heights or enjoy how it flatters their bodies and make them look slender.
But Dr. Asheley Dordor recommended that women should wear heels for two to three hours aside wearing it for a function.
“Some people get their legs dislocated because of the long hours of heels and so wearing it for 2 to 3 hours I think is great.”
Meanwhile, some women who spoke to Adom News say they wear heels because they feel more confident in them.
